Development was the main issue that brought hundreds of people out to last night's Hawaii Kai Town meeting which featured Mayor Mufi Hannemann and his cabinet. Of particular concern is a proposed development consisting of 180 "cabins" and recreational amenities on preservation zoned land located on the "mauka" side of Sandy Beach, which is one of the area's last untouched places. When asked if they supported the proposed development plan, everyone raised their hands with a resounding and loud "NO"!
