This would be like erecting a memorial to the Japanese bomber pilots who attacked Pearl Harbor. How un-American! This should never be built so close to Ground Zero.

I am sorry Mel but no "kamikaze pilots" attacked Pearl Harbor.
Kamikaze attacks didn't start until late 1943 or early 1944 and were against American Naval Fleet operations, not ground targets.The "Divine Wind" pilots were poorly trained and were basically sacrificial lambs in Japan's desperate attempt to forestall the inevitable conclusion of WWII. The pilots who attacked Pearl Harbor were the best in Japanese Naval Operations and would not have been deliberately sacrificed.
