Thank YOU! How do I get an iVote button? Watch the Fed's H.R. 3567 to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and ensure respect for State regulation of marriage. Abercrombie (listed as being from CA), Hirono (listed as being from GA) were listed as those introducing the bill, ironically titled "Respect for Marriage Act of 2009". The way I read it is, it ensures that valid marriages in other states providing for marriage of same-sex marriage, are respected under Federal law, providing couples certainty that regardless of where they travel or move, they will not become strangers under Federal law if a state refuses to recognize them as married for purposes of that state's law. What are the future repercussions??? I don't want to guess!
