I shot this pic of State Senator Bob Hogue with his supporters at the May GOP Hawaii convention. Senator Hogue is making a run for Congress this year. Hogue is running on a platform of fiscal responsibility and being positive, responsive voice for Hawaii in the nation's capitol. Hogue is being supported by the small business community and has been endorsed by PAYCHECKS HAWAII, the political affiliate of Small Business Hawaii. Vote for Bob on November 7.
As most people know, Senator Hogue is also active in the local sports community writing a column for MidWeek, doing play by play calls of various ballgames and formerly anchoring the KHON TV News sports desk. Bob has also been a coach for Academy of the Pacific.
He was elected to the Hawaii State Senate in 2000 and is part of the Senate Minority Caucus, having served as floor leader for several years. While in the Senate, Hogue has been on the Education, Commerce and Consumer Affairs and Health Committees. Senator Hogue voted against the increase to the General Excise Tax in the 2005 session.

I remember when Bob was the sports anchor on KCRA-TV, Sacramento, CA, back in the late '80's, early '90's.
